Meet Oreo 🤍🐾 Oreo is a gentle, thoughtful boy who’s still learning what it means to feel safe and at home. New to Canada and new to indoor life, he’s taking everything in at his own pace, and making steady progress along the way. Oreo forms deep bonds once he trusts, and when he does, he’s incredibly loyal. He especially gravitates toward calm, patient humans (he has a soft spot for men) and loves to stay close, whether that’s curling up on a dog bed in your office or sleeping peacefully through the night on the human bed. When Oreo chooses you, you’re his person. He does wonderfully with other dogs and really shines in their company. He loves to chase, wrestle, and play with canine friends and takes cues beautifully from them. Having another confident dog in the home helps Oreo learn how to “dog” and gives him reassurance as he explores the world. He’s also relaxed around cats and enjoys quiet activities like chewing on bully sticks or settling in for a cozy nap. Oreo is calm, quiet, and observant. He takes treats gently, and is starting to discover the joy of toys and play as he settles in. He prefers a quieter home where things are predictable and people are patient, allowing him the time he needs to build confidence. With consistency, kindness, and the support of another dog, Oreo continues to blossom. He’s the kind of dog whose trust is earned slowly, but once you have it, the bond is incredibly special.
