For a cat named after a Keeper, Sazed is remarkably difficult to keep anywhere.
It's not that he's unhappy in his kitten room. It's a perfectly nice room! But there's an entire house on the other side of that door, and he hasn't explored nearly enough of it. Frankly, he thinks it's a little unreasonable that we're keeping him from broadening his horizons.
Sazed believes that everything is interesting if you just give it a chance. And he gives EVERYTHING a chance.
Like his brothers, Sazed considers his foster mom a perfectly acceptable piece of climbing equipment. Unlike Elend, however, he'll usually get down when asked. Not because he has any particular respect for authority, but because he's just remembered there are approximately 400 other things he hasn't investigated yet. Why waste time arguing?
His approach to toys is equally open-minded. Balls? Wonderful. Wand toys? Fantastic. A broomstick? AN ABSOLUTE MASTERPIECE. We've been using one to clean the floors for years, apparently completely oblivious to its true potential. Sazed has been kind enough to enlighten us. The floors are considerably less clean now.
Of course, Sazed isn't ALL exploration and questionable housekeeping. He's also a wonderfully affectionate little fellow who loves cuddles, kisses, and attention. He's quite happy to be picked up and fussed over, although we should clarify that his consent to a cuddle is not necessarily a commitment to its duration. If something interesting happens across the room, you'll have to excuse him. He has a prior engagement.
Sazed would fit into just about any home, provided the residents are willing to give his magnificent orange fluffiness the appreciation it deserves. He'll need another friendly, playful cat to share his adventures with, whether that's one of his brothers, Elend or TenSoon, or a resident feline with a similarly enthusiastic approach to life. He should also do well with children and could adapt to dogs with proper introductions.
Ultimately, Sazed isn't asking for much. Good food, good company, plenty of things to investigate, and unrestricted access to the household cleaning supplies.
Actually, we should probably reconsider that last one.
