Elend Venture was famous for attending parties and sitting quietly in a corner reading books. Our Elend would attend the same party, climb the guests, attack someone's ankles, and then fall asleep in the host's lap. We've taken a few liberties with this adaptation. Elend is an outrageously handsome little orange boy with enough confidence for an entire noble house. He loves people. Specifically, being ON people. Sitting down? Your lap is his. Standing up? Congratulations, you're a cat tree. Trying to take his picture? Good luck. We have approximately 400 photographs of Elend approaching the camera because he would much rather be climbing his photographer. He's affectionate, athletic, curious, chatty, and completely convinced that everyone he meets is a potential friend. He loves being held, cuddled, kissed, and generally involved in whatever you're doing. He's also got a fairly enthusiastic approach to playtime, and his understanding of the distinction between toys and human legs is still a work in progress. We're negotiating. Elend will need another friendly, playful cat in his new home, either one of his brothers, Sazed or TenSoon, or a resident cat who would appreciate a wrestling partner. He'd thrive with people who want an interactive, affectionate kitten and don't mind a little chaos. Older children would be a great fit, although very young ones might find his enthusiasm a bit overwhelming. The original Elend believed in democracy.
